Lone bull Elephant

What happens to old bull elephants?, I hear you ask.
Old bull elephants that have been ousted from the herd by a younger male often roam alone.

In old age they often have ground down teeth and broken and worn tusks. They live a generally solitary existence near water sources that provide lush soft grasses that they are able to ingest.
