Sentier des douaniers: 4

Posted by : Helen : (is currently photographing in, Australia) on 27 June 2018 in Landscape & Rural.

** SERIES: PLOUMANAC’H, FRANCE **

Ploumanc'h is a small village known for the beautiful rose granite found along the coast. "Le Sentier des Douaniers' is a pathway around the pink granite studded bays near the small village. During the 18th and 19th centuries this pathway and small lookout posts were manned by French Customs officers to stop the smuggling of goods from Great Britain.
