Relics of the day-to-day life of the occupants remain amongst the ruins.
This series depicts events of one day in the life of a small peaceful village in France, on Saturday 10th of June 1944.
Around 14:00 that Saturday, men from the Der Führer Regiment of the 2nd Waffen SS Panzer Division Das Reich, drove into Oradour-sur-Glane and killed everyone that they could find, a total of 642 men, women and children. The village was looted and burned.
The French government has frozen this village in time so people of the world never forget.
Lest we forget.
