@Devi: There are so many colours, I agree. This is what stopped me. I was walking along this path as I was donating some money to assist a school for the young children of displaced families.

Lovely photo the colours and light. I hope she is happy at her work. I did not think they used neck ring any more.

@Philnz: Thanks Phil. There are still some older women who wear the neck rings as they are unable to take them off due to muscles that would no longer support their neck. Some traditionally minded young women choose to wear rings but fewer that in the past, so they can avoid the deformities. Nowadays, it is more common for them to wear removable rings so they can leave the village, e.g. shopping etc. or none at all.
