This small series of photographs were taken recently on the way up Mount Hotham, Victoria Australia. "The December 2012 to January 2013 Australian bushfire season had above average fire potential for most of the southern half of the continent from the east coast to the west." Wikipedia
This fire came so fast there was not enough warning to evacuate towns or residents. It broke all containment lines and burned up toward Mt. Hotham, known for it's ski resort. We visit the mountain 3 years later.
