*** Series - Nepal - Final tribute ***
This photo is taken in the narrow cobbled streets of Thamel. Many of the houses have suffered such structural damage from the recent earthquake and aftershocks that the occupants are afraid to return to their own homes. They are sleeping in crowded tents in open spaces.
Nepal has recently adopted its first democratic constitution. Many Napali's are happy, but for such a multi-cultured, multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-lingual country, it is difficult to please all.
Currently there are problems in the south of the country, along the border to India. These problems are compromising the supply of gas and oil into land-locked Nepal.
Locals are really struggling gaining basic access to cook or use vehicles. Nepal's problems are far from over yet.
I will respond to your kind comments as soon as I can. Thanks for dropping by!
