*** NEW SERIES ***

I invite you to join me in another series. This time we are investigating a small picturesque village, Rocamadour, buried deep in the French country-side of Quercy. If you'd like to start at the beginning of the series CLICK HERE.

Next episode ...............................................

Despite scaling the cliffs to the Religious city and exploring the Sanctuary, we continue upwards.

Above the city the pathways marks out the Stations of the Cross that lead upwards to the fortress that protects all.

The pathway winds backwards and forwards to the stations. It is a long way up the shaded path.

1st Station = Jesus is condemned to death
2nd Station = Jesus takes up his Cross
3rd Station = Jesus falls under the weight of the Cross
4th Station = Jesus meets His Blessed Mother
5th Station = Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus to carry his Cross
6th Station = A pious woman wipes the face of Jesus
7th Station = Jesus falls the second time
8th Station = Jesus consoles the Jerusalem women
9th Station = Jesus falls the third time
10th Station = Jesus is stripped of His garments
11th Station = Jesus is nailed to the Cross
12th Station = Jesus dies on the Cross
13th Station = Jesus down from the Cross given to his Mother
14th Station = Jesus is laid in the tomb
The last station of the Cross of Rocamadour is a sanctuary carved into the rock.
