Oh fabulous O Sabulosis

Millipedes (class Diplopoda) most people don't like them. I think they are quite sweet. I noticed quite a strange phenomena the other day as I basked in the first Spring sunshine of the year out in the garden.

Millipedes. Quite a few. Not just running around through the grass as you would expect, but climbing up the stalks and curling up there.

I looked for some research and noted they are known for vertical migration. But this is referrig to migrations en masse or swarms and usually up the sides of a house or tree.

This was just a sedate few, but all up there doing the same thing. Strange. Perhaps a millipede gymnastics club?
