Walking to Ramkot - 1

Despite an early rise, the smoke haze blots out the surroundings and there is not a mountain to be seen on the horizon. I prepared myself early as I had an impromptu idea to walk 5 hours to a village with a couple of other people the night before.

We set out after a quick breakfast and headed straight up towards a double-peaked mountain. It was a steep climb along the mountain path used by local to access the village and roadway.

What a sensational trek . . you must be able to feel history beneath your feet.

@Ronnie 2¢: That is such an interesting comment Ronnie. I have spent my life trying to experience history before it disappears. Experiencing 'real time' history drives me all around the world. The question is ... why? I cannot answer that question ... yet.
