A safari in the famous Chitwan National Park in Nepal had always been on my bucket list. I finally managed to visit the park in March this year. I hope you enjoy the photos that I have selected in an attempt to illustrate the excitement and wonder of my visit to this special place.
Chitwan N.P. is famous for its rich diversity of wildlife and draws visitors from all over the world. Like me many people visit the park hoping to see the "King of the Jungle"; the Bengal tiger. You might like to follow my journey to see the amazing things that I saw during the day.
Let's set off! It is pre-dawn and the silent dugout canoes wait by the side of the river to ferry visitors across to the park (view a photo here) to the jeep waiting under the cover of the jungle. It is cold and misty as dawn breaks. We set off into the park as the deep colours of dawn lighten and allow us to see between the trees.
I will respond to your kind comments as soon as I can. Thanks for dropping by!
