Wonderful and colorful costumes. The hat and necklace are different from those whom i was able to see over there. It was in which period of the year ?

@Evelyne Dubos: Hello Evelyne. Spring festival time in April (depends on the moon). Every village has their own celebration at this time of year. Traditionally it was an opportunity for the young people to mix and find interesting partners from neighbouring villages. In some of the remote villages, such as in this area of Guizhou, young women still dress up to court and they still sing the traditional Miao songs. These songs are spectacularly different to anything I have ever heard. I have been chasing the end of history across Asia for many years. China is changing so quickly. Every year you need to go further into the hills to find authentic and ancient cultural ceremony.
These head dresses are spectacular, great travel photography!

@Curly: Thanks Curly. I was humbled to be in this place on this day to experience this celebration. I will never forget the few weeks I spent in this corner of the world.

Belle photo de cette fête traditionnelle ! c'est quand ils auront perdu ces traditions qu'ils feront comme dans d'autres pays et rechercheront leurs racines !!!
Beautiful photo of this traditional festival! is when they have lost these traditions as they will in other countries and seek their roots!
