: Helen : (Helen is photographing in, Australia) on 20 July 2010 in Lifestyle & Culture.

Yesterday, Monday 19th July 2010, was the 94th anniversary of the Battle of Fromelles, France. 250 Australian diggers died there on that day. They were buried in mass graves at Pheasant Wood and only recently discovered and reinterred in a cemetery. Whilst the service for opening of the war graves cemetery was held in Fromelles, France, a commemorative service was held at to honour the diggers here in Melbourne. This photo is of the Australian 'Cobbers' statue during the service.
