I like these sharp contrasts, focus goes on the shape and not the tecture or colour, but the blue give the balance on the dark side of a picture like this one.

A picture's worth a thousand words but this has shown me that a few words can add a lot to a photo. Your title really draws attention to the spiky, upright alertness of these plants, especially when contrasted with the soft puffy clouds. The sharp contrast - black silhouettes versus the baby blue sky also works beautifully. Well done.
