I looked it up in the dictionary and I assumed it was a typo or a local NZ word until I googled it. Bokeh describes the appearance, or "feel," of out-of-focus areas. Bokeh is not how far something is out-of-focus, bokeh is the character of whatever blur is there. Read more about bokeh over at Ken Rockwell's website @Dimitrios: Thanks D.
