I realise this is not a very good photo of the moon, but I am really proud of it. I took it holding the camera in my right hand, no special filters, no special lenses and no tripod!

You underestimate this one. It is BEAUTIFUL! The fact that it is hand-held is amazing - I would have shaken so much you wouldn't be able to see what it was supposed to be. Well done!!

@Betty: To be perfectly honest, I was too, I have about five other very blurry ones, but this one wasn't too bad after a little CS2 work.

@Nina: Thanks. I am thrilled my camera actually did this. I have tried moon shots in the past and they never worked. I think the fact there was a lot of smoke in the air helped filter the light. It also gave it that lovely rich colour.

@amy: Thanks Amy. I am actually surprised this last attempt worked as I was getting tired from holding my breath and psyching myself to be still. Maybe I should have called it 'Moon Meditation'
