Earth's only natural satellitePosted by Helen (Melbourne, Australia) on 20 April 2008 in Plant & Nature. I realise this is not a very good photo of the moon, but I am really proud of it. I took it holding the camera in my right hand, no special filters, no special lenses and no tripod! Constructive feedback is your greatest compliment; caring enough to bother saying something ... thanks for visiting! Visit my site - www.warnod.net

@Ana Lúcia: :-) Thanks martie from Okinawa, JapanYou underestimate this one. It is BEAUTIFUL! The fact that it is hand-held is amazing - I would have shaken so much you wouldn't be able to see what it was supposed to be. Well done!! 20 Apr 2008 8:52am @martie: Thanks so much Martie. Craig from Vacaville, California, United StatesHand held at 1/10 th second! Amazing! 20 Apr 2008 11:03am @Craig: Thanks Craig although I must admit I have done a some sharpening and lens blur work with CS2. Betty from New Jersey, United StatesI'm amazed that this is hand held! It's a wonderful shot of the moon, Helen. 20 Apr 2008 11:13am @Betty: To be perfectly honest, I was too, I have about five other very blurry ones, but this one wasn't too bad after a little CS2 work. Observing from Chester, United KingdomGiven the fact that it's hand-held, it is really very good. 20 Apr 2008 12:04pm @Observing: Thanks Chester @Nina: Thanks. I am thrilled my camera actually did this. I have tried moon shots in the past and they never worked. I think the fact there was a lot of smoke in the air helped filter the light. It also gave it that lovely rich colour. amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaI think it's down FABulous, Helen!! And hand held?!!! Bravo! 20 Apr 2008 6:39pm @amy: Thanks Amy. I am actually surprised this last attempt worked as I was getting tired from holding my breath and psyching myself to be still. Maybe I should have called it 'Moon Meditation' |
