Koala Kapers 2

Posted by Helen (Melbourne, Australia) on 17 August 2007 in Animal & Insect.

Koala's (Phascolarctos cinereus) look cute and cuddly don't they? Well check out the claws. Not a good idea to approach one in the wild as they know how to use them! It is also unwise to stand underneath one and look up.
This poor old koala is suffering from clamydia.

The claws do look dangerous.... I still like yesterday's picture better, it gave me a big smile.

Awww...he's being so shy! Those are some serious claws. I would keep a respectable distance. I love the whimsical nature of this shot.
