Fading glory

Posted by Helen (Melbourne, Australia) on 6 August 2007 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

It was such a beautiful bloom in its full glory. As is faded away it retained some of that beauty don't you think?

Definitely beautiful, Helen, even after its glory days. I think the background is quite attractive and really adds to the impact of this wilting beauty. Lovely, lovely, lovely. :)

Awesome shot Helen and very nice post processing. The induced softness here goes well with your description, and yes it indeed retained a bit of its glory going down. :)

I like this aspect of the life of flowers too... I think that they are beautiful and graceful even as their prime fades away...
