Say cheese! [3/4]

Posted by Helen (Melbourne, Australia) on 31 July 2007 in Animal & Insect.

Episode three
The scene opens on a peaceful rural scene with a wild bird [Grey Butcher Bird] swooping down to collect a morsel of cheese from my Mother's window sill. Doesn't it have lovely manners?

More about these lovely birds' and their nasty habits in episode four!

(It is not often my reflexes work so well but this time I managed!)

I think he looks rather sweet. Almost like he is taking a bow before he leaves with his prize.

@Laurie: Ha ... I hadn't thought of it that way. Now you mention it ... You will see how sweet he is tomorrow.

Amy from Rocky Mountain House, Canada

Helen! What a great capture!! The dof is so great and the clarity of the image top notch!! Love the "tropical" background. That blue just enhances the whole shot. Excellent reflexes!! Looking forward to tomorrow's....

31 Jul 2007 5:08pm

@Amy: :-) The 'tropical' blue is Mum's pool cover. I was very surprised at how well these shots turned out because of all the paraphernalia lying around. I nearly missed him as he darted in behind that pot on the sill.

Run for your lives! Cheese is a traditional appetizer!
Such clarity in this shot. Well done series. Unless, of course, someone gets butchered in the end.
