What I believe to be the female to this Male Grey Butcher Bird [Cracticus torquatus]posted here yesterday.
What is she hanging around for I hear you ask?
Come back tomorrow to see some action!

So, here is the female! She looks very delicate! Great shot! And tomorrow, they make some babies?

@Soph: Ha ha! Who knows? You are building the suspense better than I can!

Butcher bird. Butcher... bird? I'm certain the name is not a clever allusion to something kind. The Latin is even more disturbing.
Having viewed some small part of what you've seen in the world, I look forward to this series with a cringe. (I'm envisioning some of your more exotic restaurant shots, thematically transferred to this subject matter.)
But then again, it might just turn out to be bird porn. Regardless, it will get me out of bed in the morning.
I'm ever stunned at your views of the world. Well done.
Cheers.

@Matt Trujillo Photography: I would hate to be too predictable Matt. You a moving closer towards the title of 'The man who knows too much!' ;-)

I love Matt's comment!! LOL ..and also very truthful about your view of the world. Great capture again Helen!! The bird looks almost majestic as he sits on the wire.
