My Mother has a family of Grey Butcher Birds [Cracticus torquatus] living nearby who have visited her for years. Each spring the couple supplement their diet with a little meat or cheese when they are rearing their young.
What is he looking at so intently here? You will see on Tuesday. Keep visiting.
The Grey Butcher bird has a long beak with a small hook at the tip of the upper beak. I am unsure but I think this is the male. I will post the female tomorrow. If you would like to hear their call there is a great sound file here

It amazes me how they keep their balance while perched precariously on those wires!! We are synchronistic!! Must be because your brother's here and my sister's there LOL I love how you captured his curious look.. an almost "What the ?"
