lucky day

I wish you all good luck and or fortune today!
I chose this photo for today as this young parasol seller thought it was her lucky day when we chose her market stall to shop for a parasol. She is a little out of focus, but I really liked the effect of her being softened out a bit.

Many people believe that 07.07.07 will be a very lucky day. I certainly do not believe this but I wouldn't complain if some good fortune came my way today. Someone told me that the Chinese may not be as excited as seven is a number associated with death. I am not certain this is true, perhaps someone can enlighten me.

Another lovely picture Helen - I heard on radio today that many couples are marrying today because of the rare/lucky date. It's been fortunate for me - I bought 2 red chairs and then snuggled in front of the fire while small snowflakes fell into my garden. :)

@Bron: Thanks for your comment. Snow! Red chair, red wine and crackling red fire weather! It is cold and rainy here so I went for a walk round the lake. Stand by ... I took a couple I will post.

Really nice! I don't mind that she's off-focus because the first parasol is in focus. And sharp or not, she has a lovely expression.

I agree with Damon, Helen. It also reminds me of something I just can't put my finger on... dang, I hate it when that happens!! LOL But I love the colours and her expression. Great image to post!!!
