Dimitrios from ATHENS, Greecebut Helen was persistent and she did it for us, colour was captured superbly in a blink of an eye. 4 Apr 2007 6:19am Sidonie from Sydney, AustraliaZinger of a shot - they ARE very flighty, not like our white cockatoos which are VERY plain by comparison. Lovely angle! Congrats! 4 Apr 2007 6:43am @Behrooz: They are aren't they? I was tempted to play around with colour due to the very dull drought-stricken background, but the birds are naturally so colourful I didn't bother. Craiger from Vacaville, California, United StatesWow! I've never seen one of these guys before. Thanks for sharing and congrats on a great capture!!! 4 Apr 2007 8:56am JV from IndiaGreat shot, the colors of the bird come alive against the dull wooden contrast. To tell you something, I have never been successful in clicking birds. I have no patience for the perfrect timing. 4 Apr 2007 11:42am @JV: Neither had I JV, but our fellow Am3 bird capturer, Matt Trujillo, has inspired me to "have a go". Yvon from Meerkerk, NetherlandsIN the end you captured it, not one but two! Great shot. Lovely birds. 4 Apr 2007 1:57pm amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaOh Helen! This is really wonderful! And I know what you mean... when we were in Sydney our friends had a banana tree in the back that the lorikeets were always in... but it too was against the sun and those silly little birds would never stay put. Mind you, (this is scary 'cause I just had a thought) if you stalk the little buggers with an accomplice, you could set up for the shot then get your accomplice to startle them for a very colourful shot as well?? or does that sound cruel? Long winded ain't I? ;-) 4 Apr 2007 6:00pm @amy: Next time you come down this way, let me know. We can go stalking together. ;-) Behrooz from Tehran, IranI may add that a little unsharp masking of the lightness channel may produce some sharp and vivid colors for you too. 5 Apr 2007 7:06am Lydia from Ottawa, CanadaNice capture! what a beautiful bird, you are so lucky to have these birds hanging around your house! good luck with the stalking!! 6 Apr 2007 6:37am |
