a welcome diversion .... Saturday lunch

Posted by Helen (Melbourne, Australia) on 27 February 2007 in People & Portrait.

I don't go anywhere much without my camera these days. I am seeing the world with a different eye. This open plan kitchen arrangement in the restaurant was just too tempting. So was the food by the way.

He's not bad either - when you said diversion, I wondered whether you were referring to him! Great shot and quite different! Like you I carry the camera everywhere - I need a bigger handbag (NO, NO! my partner says!)

@Bronnie: Ha, ha Bronnie ... I wish! ;-) He was more interested in the food!

Me too I carry my camera everywhere. Nice shot.

Bad memories of being a cook. Open kitchens make me tense...

I like the expressions of this guy!

So what did you have for lunch? Not Vietnamese or Lebanese, I take it? He looks like a Jamie Oliver acolyte - and a picture of concentration. Appetising image!

@Sidonie: A kind of nouveau cuisine a la Jamie O style of food. Beautiful presentation, lots of taste and you search around the plate for it.
