Bounty

The result of a $10 Government bounty on foxes.
Foxes are an introduced pest in Australia. The bounty has now been removed as it was deemed an ineffective control and has been replaced by a poisonous baiting program.

Visitors to Australia often question why it has such strict quarantine laws. Historically most flora and fauna introduced to this continent has become either a noxious weed or a feral pest. The humble little rabbit is one example and the delicious little blackberry is regarded as one of the worst weeds in Australia because of its invasiveness, potential for spread, and economic and environmental impacts.

Constructive feedback is your greatest compliment; caring enough to bother saying something ... thanks for visiting!
